We’re excited to be exclusively revealing the new music video from MuMu, on Valentine’s Day, titled “Honeymoon Love”, which is filmed in connection with Zeno Mountain Farm and features incredible people from within the community. Spreading love and happiness, MuMu draws us into a real-life Zeno community wife and husband on their wedding day.
MuMu, real name is Madeline Rhodes, is a multi-talented performer, singer-songwriter, musician, and activist. With her music being featured in film and television, including the groundbreaking musical film “Best Summer Ever”, MuMu has garnered attention from several major media outlets, including The New York Times, Forbes, and The Hollywood Reporter. Growing up in an environment that was not conducive to creativity, she found solace in writing songs at the age of nine but was too shy to perform them. It was not until after she completed her studies in performing arts that she realized she wanted to tell her own stories. In 2018, MuMu collaborated with 5x Emmy-winning music producer Jamie Lawrence and released her empowering anthem “Free the Nip”. The video for this single went viral and accumulated over a million views on YouTube, and the song was placed on the Netflix hit animated series “Big Mouth”. MuMu’s music is there to inspire, uplift, and bring positivity to the world and that’s exactly what she does.
Talking about the music video, MuMu said: “I came in contact with Zeno Mountain Farm six years ago and was immediately swept away by their culture of creativity, humor, inclusion, and love. At Zeno, it’s actually kind of lame to not have a disability. And I’ve realized that it’s actually kind of lame in the real world too. My coolest and most creative friends have disabilities.”
“I hope this video reminds us that diversifying our friend groups doesn’t have to happen in designated spaces like Zeno. We can reach out to our neighbors, strike up a conversation on the bus, or share a dance with someone who walks/talks/thinks differently than you,” MuMu notes. “We shot this video in two hours, with zero dollars and infinite love.”

Connecting with listeners and accompanying the track beautifully, we really get an insight into the amazing group of people as they all celebrate a wedding day. We follow various couples as their love for one another shine right on screen, whilst that is intercut with fun scenes, dance scenes, and people loving themselves for who they are. On top of that, MuMu performs her track “Honeymoon Love”, giving performance piece segments that showcase her brilliant stage presence whilst also her kind and caring nature as she involves herself within the community and also performs alongside them as they play instruments on stage with her. The entire visual really showcases love in all its glory across its variations including love for oneself and same-sex love, with the wedding being the main showcase – what more could we want on Valentine’s Day? A perfect, memorable video that will be treasured forever, not only by MuMu and the Zeno Mountain Farm community but also by every viewer.

Exclusive interview with MuMu about her new music video:
I’ve been a part of the Zeno Mountain Farm community for six years now and it is where I have made some of my closest friends. This community flips our definition of “normal” on its head and elevates our experience of friendship to an entirely superior level. Zeno is made up of beauteous individuals with different abilities who are all there to love, laugh, create, and make dreams come true.
I had the honor of being head-songwriter on their musical feature film Best Summer Ever, which is now streaming on Hulu. The making of that movie was my entrance into the world of Zeno and since then, I have been attending their camps, playing their fundraisers, and dreaming of collaborating on a music video with them. Last summer, when Zeno was finally back in-person, I had just released a new song that needed a video, and I knew they would totally crush it. So one afternoon during their summer camp, we headed out to Zeno’s barn, threw a wild wedding party, and filmed this video.
Then the following month I was stuck in a hotel room sick with COVID. Luckily, I’m vaccinated af so I was well enough to edit this video. Possibly my favorite video I’ve ever made.
It’s not disability that makes Zeno what it is. It’s not the production values, the costumes, or the beautiful Vermont landscapes. What makes Zeno Zeno is love.
Every single person on this planet is capable, worthy, and deserving of love in whatever capacity they choose. The real-life married couple featured in this video is proof of that, along with the real-life friendships and life-long connections that Zeno fosters. Request this song at the next wedding you attend. Then go ask someone who looks/sounds/thinks differently from you to dance.
